September 2019: Recruiting with Diversity in Mind

In this session, LinkedIn facilitated a discussion on the importance of recruiting with diversity in mind, including women, LGBTQ+ and PWDs. Hearing from speakers from Nestle, Philippines Financial Industry Pride and Accenture, we explored what different companies are doing to recruit, retain and plan their diverse workforce and the importance of having a diverse workforce for productivity and success.

June 2019: Using Data Insights to Power Talent Acquisition

In this session, LinkedIn facilitated a discussion on what the talent landscape looks like both in Southeast Asia and specifically in the Philippines, ushering in the era of Talent Intelligence. Using speakers from both LinkedIn and Voyager Innovations, we explored how digital transformation has spread to the HR space, and had breakout discussions to share how TA professionals in the Philippines are using data to drive their hiring processes, decisions, and to influence hiring managers.

March 2019: Intelligent Interviewing

Telstra, Johnson & Johnson and Yondu shared with the User Group how they run, structure and think about their interviews at this panel discussion. Attendees then put thoughts into action in a facilitated ideation session on how they might change their current interviewing processes.

November 2018: Recruiter Effectiveness and Efficiency

At this user group, the LinkedIn Customer Success team partnered with the Media Solutions team to introduce the full funnel approach to help recruiters become more effective and efficient. We discussed how to address recruitment efficiency challenges by helping Recruiters become more effective with a full funnel approach, with focus on building awareness at scale with target talent driving engagement prior to recruiter outreach, which will in turn, allow recruiters to source much more effectively and efficiently.

September 2018: The Recruiter's Role in Employer Branding

Ramil dela Cruz, a John Maxwell inspirational speaker, kicked off the session with “A Talk About Self-Image”, giving participants the chance for self-reflection and encouraged everyone to reflect positivity. Pat Dimayuga from Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines also shared his “Practical Tips for Recruiters to Promote Their Employer Brand”, complete with visuals and live samples to inspire recruiters to become brand ambassadors for their employers.

May 2018: Out-of-the-Box Recruiting

Participants within the Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding profession from different industries and companies gathered to discuss Out-of-the-Box Recruiting. Groups were formed to share and understand each person’s interpretation of What, How and Why we should all explore Out-of-the-Box Recruiting ideas. Everyone was so enthusiastic in brainstorming and giving practical suggestions as well as fresh ideas on applying unique ways of engaging candidates in the different stages of recruitment – starting from Awareness to Interviews to Onboarding.

March 2018: Breaking Biases in Traditional Hiring

Guest speaker, Asst. Prof. Julienne Thesa Y. Baldo-Cubelo, PhD., from the University of the Philippines Diliman, shared such a meaningful and fun keynote on understanding conscious and unconscious biases at the workplace – specifically within the Traditional Hiring process which is commonly practiced amongst most companies in the Philippines.

Nov 2017: Recruiting in a Social World

We heard and learned from Nestle on how consumer brand translates to employer brand. We also had the opportunity to learn from IBM on how to leverage data and analytics in talent acquisition. Breakout sessions helped our TA and branding professionals share their successes and key takeaways in this peer-learning platform.

August 2016: The Candidate's Journey
