March 2018: Macau Hospitality in the Era of Talent Intelligence LinkedIn brought the session to Macau for the first time, introducing Macau Hospitality to LinkedIn’s Talent Intelligence capabilities. We focused on two broad topics that are relevant to the audience, 1) digital disruption and how technology is changing its business and workforce, and 2) overseas expansion and how they can leverage insights to create competitive advantages in new markets. The topics were certainly top of mind for the audience, with participation from integrated resorts such as Melco, Sands, Venetian, Suncity, Wynn, Galaxy, MGM, Fisherman’s Wharf, and 13 Hotel Management. We rounded up the discussions with practical tips on how these Macau Hospitality players can respond and prepare for such opportunities.

December 2017: “Reflect & Refresh” Celebrating Recruiters Success

The theme of this session was “Reflect & Refresh”, i.e. to reflect on 2017’s successes, challenges, and lessons learned, and at the same time using this opportunity to refresh in preparation for a more successful 2018. We were privileged to have invited Hong Kong’s power user for each LinkedIn Recruiter Index (LRI) metric to share tips on building professional brand, finding passive talent, engaging talent proactively, and managing future pipeline. The session ended with a video of Mark Lobosco, the Global VP of Talent Solutions, sharing his visions and plans for the APAC region in 2018.

September 2017: Inside the Minds of Today's Millennials

Charlotte Carrion of AXA shared with the User Group, as a millennial, her perspectives on the effectiveness of social recruiting; the importance of work culture; the how-to of employer branding; and what success means to millennials. Based on these insights and LinkedIn’s data on millennials, the group broke out into smaller groups to ideate on initiatives their respective organization can implement throughout the Recruitment Funnel to build awareness, engage, recruit, and onboard millennials. The session concluded with tips & tricks on utilizing LinkedIn Pipeline Builder to reach and attract millennials.

June 2017: Retail Industry in the Digital Age

In this intimate User Group session for local and multi-national companies within the retail industry, we invited featured thought leaders from Richemont and A.S. Watsons to discuss how their organizations are tackling the evolving competitive landscape, the digital age transformation and current talent challenges. We are pleased to have representation from A.S Watson, Dairy Farm, 7-Eleven, IKEA, Richemont, LVMH, Kering, and Mondottica.

March 2017: Hong Kong Top Social Recruiter

Sho Takei from Uber is one of Hong Kong's top social recruiters of 2017, and he gave a very interesting presentation on his personal best practices to elevate his social recruiting approaches. The group was also joined by Lillian Cheung of adidas Group and Johnathan Fung of KPMG China as a panel in discussing their experiences in becoming Hong Kong's Top Social Recruiters.

February 2017: Effective Employer Branding on Social Media

Our featured speakers were from CMRS and AIA, and the group was treated to a very candid sharing of experiences, challenges, and ideas in employer branding. Interesting discussions centered around proactive sourcing, candidate experience, data driven decision making, and engaging passive talent.

December 2016: Finding & Engaging Niche Talent

This Chirstmas-themed user group session focused on ways to find and engage with niche talent. Uber and Eclipse Trading were the featured speakers in discussing the importance of talent pipelining, especially the tips and tricks on how their organizations attract Tech and Digital talents

October 2016: Social Recruiting 101

The main topic of the session was simply "Social Recruiting 101", but it actually provided the group with a wide array of talking points, including social media strategy, socializing, talent attraction vs. talent acquisition, return of investment (ROI), quality of hire, and compliance challenges.
